Did you know that you can hire Castle Toward and Ardentinny privately for your own event or function? A staff member will stay at the centre throughout your stay to make sure you are familiar with the centre’s facilities and deal with any emergencies.

Private functions

At both centres we can organise and cater for conferences, receptions, wedding parties, birthday celebrations, stag and hen parties or groups of friends who want a few exciting days away from it all.

Castle Toward has six superb public rooms to accommodate a wide range of functions such as business meetings, ceilidhs, ensemble concerts, tea dances, virtuoso performances and keep fit classes. Book the castle or just one room – we can be very flexible.

At Ardentinny you can book the entire centre to entertain friends and family with indoor or outdoor activities. Have an adventure in the wide-open spaces or stay indoors for a Ceilidh, birthday party, concert or play.

Catering

When you organise a private function our onsite caterers can serve up tasty and nourishing food at a formal sit down meal or rustle up one of their amazing buffets. 

Our Castle Toward chef, Eliot, was trained in the world famous Ritz Hotel and together with Linda at Ardentinny they can cater for a range of special dietary needs – vegetarian, vegan, Halal and a range of allergies. Every year Eliot and Linda keep over 8,000 kids’ appetites satisfied.

Self-programming

At Castle Toward or Ardentinny you can design your own programme of events. Bring along the materials, equipment and tutors you need and we’ll provide the venue, accommodation, food and the support of our residential staff.

Castle Toward is renowned for art, music and drama courses - school orchestras and bands, drama and art groups regularly make use of our large rehearsal rooms. The main music room has acoustics to die for, something that we are sure the Glasgow Schools Symphony Orchestra, who have been coming here since 1955, would testify to.

Not only is Ardentinny an ideal location for water sports and rock climbing aficionados, it can also cater for artists, musicians and actors – all of whom are bound to be inspired by the breathtaking vistas around the centre. And the more academically inclined can get their cerebral kicks from the field studies, maths, biology, chemistry and physics classes that we often organise at this centre.
