As of Monday 1 March 2010 Castle Toward and Ardentinny outdoor education centres are open for business.

Thank you to everyone for your co-operation and support over the last few months.

We look forward to welcoming our friends back to the Castle and Ardentinny for another wonderful year of arts, music and outdoor education.

Following meetings with Argll & Bute Council in December 2009 and January 2010 an agreement has been reached for the Castle to re-open on 1 March 2010.

Following the meeting of the Executive Committee of Argyll and Bute Council on Thursday 17 December 2009, representatives of the Council and Actual Reality Learning and Leadership Limited met on Monday, 21 December at Kilmory.

The 16th April 2008 saw a visitor to Castle Toward from New Hampshire in America, Gerarldine Tobin nee Montgomery had not visited the Castle since 1958 when she attended Holyrood Secondary School and came to Castle Toward with the Glasgow Schools Orchestra.

Although she originally played the violin, Gerarldine now plays Harp. Gerarldine made the decision to return to the castle after a fifty year absence after bumping into Eddy McGuire at the 27th Edinburgh Harp Festival, who suggested she come across to the Castle.

This summer and autumn why not give your children the chance to experience fun and adventure whilst learning about themselves and others? We have some new dates for our famous School Holiday Camps - they all start on Sunday afternoon and run through to the following Friday.

At Castle Toward we have three summer camps: 6 to 11 July; 13 to 18 July; and 20 to 25 July.

Ardentinny's summer camps run from 29 June to 4 July, 27 July to 1 August and 3 to 8 August.

The autumn camp at the Castle starts on Sunday 12 and ends Friday 17 October.
