The Combined Training Centre consisting of units from Royal Engineers, Royal Artilllery, Royal Armoured Corps and other logistical units was set up at Castle Toward during World War II.
Photos have been taken at our centres since the 1950s. In the next three galleries we take you on a visual trip down memory lane from grainy black and white to crisp digital. We hope you enjoy the journey - you may even recognise a few familiar faces...
Here's a selection of photos that were taken at the two centres over four decades. The fashions may have changed but the happy faces and the landscape remain the same.
Our fourth gallery brings you bang up-to-date. Most of the photos were taken in the last year and those faces just keep on beaming. Here's to another 60 years!
