The Ardentinny outdoor education centre is situated in the picturesque village of Ardentinny on the West shore of Loch Long, 24 miles from Castle Toward and 14 miles from Dunoon and the Cowal Peninsula. The centre itself sits amongst the forests and hills of the Trossachs National Park. Since Renfrew County Council commissioned the centre in the early 1970s it has developed an excellent reputation for outdoor education courses that combine learning with fun. Ardentinny is a fantastic purpose-built facility with excellent resources supported by experienced and qualified staff. Its out-of-the-way location lends itself to water sports, particularly Dragon Boating, team raft building and sailing.
With comfortable, clean and roomy four-bed dormitories Ardentinny can accommodate groups of eight to 80 aged eight years and over. It has several accessible rooms for people with physical disabilities. Combine this with the tasty and wholesome food served up and you have a few of the many reasons why the centre has been popular with groups for so long. Want to bring your group to Ardentinny?
